The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded me to recite the Mu'awwidhat after every prayer.

What this hadith teaches
The Mu'awwidhat are Surah al-Falaq and Surah an-Nas (and many scholars include al-Ikhlas). They are protection for the believer.
