Five prayers in a day and night

A man asked what Allah requires of him; the first answer was the five daily prayers.

Narrated by Talhah ibn Ubaidullah

A man from Najd came asking about Islam. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Five prayers in a day and night." He asked: "Must I do any other?" He said: "No, unless you do so voluntarily." ... When the man left saying he would do no more and no less, the Prophet ﷺ said: "He will succeed if he is truthful."
