What Al-Ahad means
Al-Ahad means the One and Only, unique in every way. He is one in His being, His names and His actions, and nothing is comparable to Him (112:4). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Surah al-Ikhlas, which begins 'Say: He is Allah, the One', is equal to one third of the Qur'an (Bukhari).
