What Al-Hamid means
Al-Hamid means the Praiseworthy, who deserves all praise in every situation. He is praised for His names, His qualities, His actions and His blessings, whether people praise Him or not. That is why the Qur'an begins with 'Alhamdu lillah', all praise belongs to Allah.
