What Al-Mu'min means
Al-Mu'min has two meanings that go together. He is the One who gives safety: He protects His creation and keeps His promise, so those who trust Him are safe. He is also the One who confirms the truth: He supports His messengers with clear signs and confirms the faith of the believers. The faith (iman) in our hearts is a gift from Him.

هُوَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْمَلِكُ ٱلْقُدُّوسُ ٱلسَّلَٰمُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُ ٱلْمُهَيْمِنُ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْجَبَّارُ ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرُ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Living by this name
Be a person whom others feel safe with, and keep your promises. Pray: Ya Mu'min, keep me safe from fear and make my faith strong.
