What Al-Khafid means
Al-Khafid means the One who lowers. He brings down the proud, the oppressors and the people of falsehood whenever He wills. On the Day of Judgement some people who were high in this world will be brought low, and some who were humble will be raised high (56:3). His lowering is always with perfect justice and wisdom.

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ
This name comes from the hadith list and is said together with Ar-Rafi', as scholars advise. In the Qur'an the word 'khafidah' (bringing low) describes the Last Day, not a name of Allah.
Living by this name
Be humble, because the Prophet (peace be upon him) said that no one humbles himself for Allah except that Allah raises him (Muslim). Pray: O Allah, do not lower me because of my sins.
