What Al-Mumit means
Al-Mumit means the One who causes death. Every living thing will die at the time He has written, not a moment earlier or later. Death is not the end but a return to Allah, and the One who gives life and death will raise everyone again (57:2).

In the Qur'an
The name itself is not in the Qur'an as a name, but its meaning is, as in this verse.
Said together with Al-Muhyi, as the Qur'an does: 'He gives life and causes death' (57:2).
Living by this name
Remember death often, as the Prophet (peace be upon him) advised, so that you prepare for it (at-Tirmidhi). Pray: O Allah, make my last words 'La ilaha illallah'.
