What As-Sami' means
As-Sami' means the All-Hearing. He hears every voice in every language at the same time, the loud call and the quiet whisper, and one voice never distracts Him from another. He heard the woman who pleaded with the Prophet (peace be upon him) about her husband (58:1). When a believer prays, he can be sure that his Lord hears him.

وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَٰهِۦمُ ٱلْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَٰعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّآ ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ
فَاطِرُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا وَمِنَ ٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ۖ يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ ۚ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِۦ شَىْءٌۭ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ

Guard your tongue, because Allah hears every word. Pray: Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas-Sami'ul-'Alim (2:127).
