What As-Samad means
As-Samad means the Eternal Refuge, the Master to whom all creation turns in its needs. Everyone needs Him, and He needs no one. He does not give birth and was not born (112:3). Scholars also explain As-Samad as the perfect Master, complete in all His qualities.
