What Al-Mubdi' means
Al-Mubdi' means the Originator, who began creation the first time, with no example before it. He began the heavens, the earth and each one of us. Since He began creation, bringing it back is even easier for Him (30:27).

In the Qur'an
The name itself is not in the Qur'an as a name, but its meaning is, as in this verse.
Al-Mubdi' and Al-Mu'id are from the hadith list; the Qur'an uses their verbs: 'It is He who begins and brings back' (85:13).
