What Al-Jabbar means
Al-Jabbar has meanings that scholars explain together. He is the Compeller whose will always happens, high above His creation. He is also the One who mends and restores: He heals broken hearts, helps the weak and sets right what is broken. Between the two prostrations the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to ask: 'Allahummaghfir li warhamni wajburni...', O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me and mend me (at-Tirmidhi).
