What Ar-Rahim means

Ar-Rahim means the One who is always merciful and keeps showing mercy to His servants, again and again. Ar-Rahman tells us how wide His mercy is; Ar-Rahim tells us that His mercy keeps reaching us. The Qur'an says He is 'ever Merciful to the believers' (33:43), and they will receive the fullest share of His mercy in the Hereafter. Guidance, forgiveness and Paradise are all signs of this mercy.
