What Al-'Azim means
Al-'Azim means the Magnificent, whose greatness is beyond what our minds can imagine. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth (2:255), and He is greater than all of it. In every bowing (ruku') in prayer, Muslims say 'Subhana Rabbiyal-'Azim', Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent.
