What Al-Wali means
Al-Wali means the Governor who manages and runs all the affairs of creation. Nothing in the universe runs by itself; He directs it all. When Allah wills harm for a people, nothing can turn it back, and they have no protector besides Him (13:11).

لَهُۥ مُعَقِّبَٰتٌۭ مِّنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ يَحْفَظُونَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۗ وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍۢ سُوٓءًۭا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ ۚ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ
Living by this name
Put your affairs in Allah's care, and take good care of whatever He has placed in your care. Pray: O Allah, take charge of my affairs and do not leave me to myself.
