What Al-Basit means
Al-Basit means the One who extends and gives generously. He spreads provision wide for whom He wills (13:26) and opens hearts with joy and ease. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that Allah stretches out His hand at night to accept the repentance of those who sinned in the day, and in the day for those who sinned at night (Muslim).

In the Qur'an
The name itself is not in the Qur'an as a name, but its meaning is, as in this verse.
Said together with Al-Qabid (the Withholder), as in the hadith of Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi.
Living by this name
When Allah gives you more, share it and stay humble. Pray: Ya Basit, open my heart and widen my provision.
