What Al-Wadud means
Al-Wadud means the Most Loving. He loves His obedient servants and those who do good, and He puts love for them in the hearts of others (19:96). His love comes with forgiveness: He is 'the All-Forgiving, the Most Loving' (85:14), loving those who turn back to Him after sin.
